Founded in 2019, the brand was originally named ‘The Deck’ after a deck of cards due to its initial four made-to-measure styles. It was a fitting name for the brand’s beginnings, however as the brand offering became broader and more inclusive, the concept behind the name ‘The Deck’ no longer felt befitting of its current position or direction and in just five years, the brand has expanded far beyond those initial offerings.
Knatchbull’s journey has been marked by numerous milestones, forever altering the landscape of London’s historic Savile Row. The first and only women’s tailor to have a shopfront on this iconic street which boasts over 200 years of tailoring history, it has injected new energy into what was traditionally a male dominated street.
In a testament to the brand’s commitment to ethical business practices, it also became the first B Corp certified business on Savile Row, setting a new standard for ethical practices in the world of tailoring.
“The name Knatchbull represents not just my legacy, but the legacy we’re building together – a world where women have access to the same sartorial power and confidence that tailoring has traditionally offered men.” - Daisy Knatchbull, Founder of Knatchbull
