The Deck becomes Savile Row’s First B Corp Business

The Deck London has announced today its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp), becoming the first made-to-measure tailoring house to achieve certification in the UK. It joins a growing group of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit.
The Deck has been certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.

The Deck is now part of a community of 7,000 businesses globally who have certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK, representing a broad cross section of industries and sizes, comprises over 1,500 companies and include well-known brands such as The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, The Body Shop and organic food pioneers Abel & Cole.

“We are thrilled to have certified as B Corp and are proud to be the first made-to-measure tailoring house in the UK to be awarded this certification. It has always been of the utmost importance for The Deck to be an antidote to fashion’s prevailing throwaway culture and to support responsible textile producers with transparent supply chains. This certification reinforces this commitment and ensures our continuous accountability and transparency” Daisy Knatchbull, Founder of The Deck
